The 2-day sporting event ended in Pulwama

Participants from different educational institutions in the eight educational zones won different prizes in a 2-day sporting event that ended today.
The event was organized by Pulwama Youth Services and Sports Department in collaboration with the Pulwama District Administration.
The District Sports and Youth Services Officer, Pulwama Noor ul Haq, said the sports skills of the participants have been wonderful and need to be further honed and promoted by providing adequate modern infrastructure to organize such events so that many more and more talented young people are identified and encouraged to devote time to sport and excel in life.
The event consisted of belt wrestling, wushu and thangata under the weight of 40 to 70 boys, 35 to 60 girls, disciplines and participation of over three hundred young people, including an unprecedented participation of boys and girls. Many schools in the district also fielded their teams in the games, which made the competition very difficult. The winners then received various prizes and other gifts.
“The expression of confidence, smiles on their faces and enthusiasm among these young participants during events or competitions in games gave satisfaction that cannot be explained in words,” he said. .
