The Mandurah Mazda Action Sports Games (MASG) will return to the western foreshore in March 2022.
The games combine demonstrations of wakeboarding, skateboarding, freestyle BMX, scooter and freestyle motocross (FMX) with athletes competing for a combined overall prize pool of over $20,000 in cash and prizes.
Due to current COVID border restrictions, the focus of the event will be to attract Western Australia’s top action sports stars to Mandurah.
MASG event director Tim Thirsk said he hopes the border restrictions will make it easier for many interstate and international wakeboarders to compete.
“I really want to continue to evolve the event and hope that the closed borders will soon be removed so that interstate athletes can come to Mandurah,” Thirsk said.
Mandurah’s new skate park will light up on Saturday March 26 with skateboard, BMX and scooter competition.
On Sunday March 27, some of WA’s best men’s and women’s wakeboarders head to Mandjar Bay for the Wakeboard Tournament.
DJ’s, food trucks and games for the whole family will also be present on the foreshore during the games.
