Islamabad: Al-Huda International School (F-8 Campus) annual sports event held at Islamabad Sports Complex here.
The aim of the event was to highlight the importance of a healthy and active Muslim as well as to provide an opportunity for students to resume their daily activities after a long stagnation during the Covid-19 epidemic. While keeping the tradition alive, it has been ensured that every student participates in one or the other game.
During the last two weeks, multiple interclass and intersection games have been organized. Now, the semi-finals and finals of each competition take place at the Islamabad sports complex. In order to ensure maximum participation of girls and boys, December 21 and 24 are reserved for girls, while December 22 and 23 are reserved for boys who, with their teachers, take full advantage of this sports week.
The main guest, Colonel (r) Asif Zaman, DG Pakistan Sports Board, honored the closing ceremony while taking time off his busy schedule. The distinguished guests included the director of the Al-Huda International School – Atif Iqbal.
Renowned educators from Islamabad, Sajid Chughtai and Khawaja Zahid Hussain were also in attendance, prompting the students to express their joy and fervor. The guests attended magnificent demonstrations. The students competed in a 100m race, handball match, relay race, tug of war, tiger jumps and tile breaking, in addition to showing their excellence in gymnastics , in taekwondo and self-defense.
The main guest, Col. (r) Asif Zaman, addressed the audience, appreciated the efforts of the students, while stressing the urgent need to channel the inner energy of young people into positive activities. Games not only positively channel the energies of our youth, but also play a central role in the development of their mental and physical faculties, ultimately resulting in making young people active and productive individuals in society. He also appreciated the hard work and sincere efforts of teachers and students and wished the institute more prosperity. In the closing speech, the principal of the school, Sir Atif Iqbal, underlined the fact that AIS strives to integrate religion into contemporary education to ensure the fulfillment of its mission; Quran for all: in each hand, in each heart. He also said that the institute maintains its priority of developing excellence in the two languages, Urdu and English, as well as mastery of scientific concepts and skills to ensure that students become beneficial people for the society while imparting to them an authentic religious education related to Cor ‘an and Sunnah, which in turn will help to produce the best individuals in every profession.
These competitions will run until December 24, 2021.
Al-Huda International School is an educational institute, established under the auspices of the Al-Huda International Welfare Foundation, which aspires to prepare the next generation for the glorification of Islam while providing education contemporary. Then, the institute facilitates the Montessori grades at Matric / IGCSE and AS, A level, in addition to establishing a full Hifz department, while offering separate courses for both sexes. To create a balance between the school and home environment, the school also designed the Tarbiyah program for students, teachers and parents. It is expected that such activities will prove to be an important step in the development of positive, healthy and constructive thinking in society.
